Choosing Versa Lift accessories

Almost every Versa Lift accessory is model-specific. A Model 24 needs the -24 version and a Model 32 needs the -32 version; they are not interchangeable, because the platform and opening dimensions differ. Check your lift's model before ordering.

Auto-shutter doors (AS-24, AS-32)

A powered shutter that closes the ceiling opening after the platform descends. This does two things: it keeps conditioned air in the garage rather than letting it escape into the attic, and it removes the open hole in the ceiling, which matters both for appearance and for anyone working below.

Fire-rated ceiling panels (VLFR24, VLFR32)

Cutting an opening in a garage ceiling interrupts the fire separation between the garage and the living space above — a detail many local codes take seriously. A fire-rated ceiling panel restores that separation across the opening. If your garage ceiling is a rated assembly, check this requirement with your local inspector before installation rather than after.

Treadplate platform upgrades (TP-24, TP-32)

Replaces the standard platform surface with treadplate. Worth it where you load heavy or sharp-cornered items regularly, or where you want a surface that will not scuff.

Platform enclosure (PE-24)

Side walls for the platform, so loose items cannot shift off during travel. Useful if you routinely send up unboxed or irregular loads.

Truss leg kit (TL-24)

Adapts the mounting for attics where the truss layout does not give a clean bearing point for the standard installation. Worth checking your framing before installation day rather than discovering the need mid-job.

Spare wireless remote (WR-2432-N)

An additional wireless controller for W-series lifts — a second remote for the attic side, or a replacement. Compatible with both Model 24 and Model 32 wireless lifts.

The Versa Rail Model 60 attic ladder safety rail is not a lift accessory as such, but it addresses the other half of the attic-access problem: a handhold at the top of a pull-down ladder, where most attic falls happen.
