Proslat 8 ft. PROCORE+ Gray Wood PVC H-Trim

This is the H-trim for Proslat PROCORE+ Gray Wood PVC slatwall. Each piece is 8 ft long and hides the vertical joint where two panel sections butt up against each other, so the wall reads as one surface instead of two. It is sold here in 2 pack, 3 pack, 4 pack and 5 pack sizes.

Where this trim goes

H-trim is the only vertical trim in the middle of a wall. In cross section it is shaped like the letter H: one panel edge slides into the channel on each side and the web between them covers the gap. Use it wherever a run is wider than a single panel section.

The four PROCORE+ trims each do a different job:

• Starter trim goes at the bottom. It is the first piece on the wall and sets the level for every panel above it.
• H-trim — this piece — covers a vertical seam where two panel sections meet side by side in the same run.
• Top trim caps the top edge of the installation.
• Side trim finishes the open left and right ends of the wall.

How many do I need?

Every piece is 8 ft. H-trim is the one trim you do not size off a wall dimension — you size it off the seams. Count the vertical seams in your layout, not the panels. Two sections side by side make one seam. Three sections make two seams. A run with no interruption makes none, and needs no H-trim at all.

For each seam, measure its height in linear feet, divide by 8, and round up. A seam on an 8 ft high wall takes 1 piece. A seam that runs 10 ft high takes 2. Add up the pieces for every seam, then pick the pack that covers the total.

Common questions

Can I cut it to length?

Yes. This is PVC and it cuts cleanly with a fine-tooth blade. A miter saw or a fine-tooth hand saw both work. Cut slowly so the edge does not chip, and dry-fit before you fasten.

Does the finish have to match my panels?

Visually, yes. This is PROCORE+ Gray Wood trim and it is made to match PROCORE+ Gray Wood panels. On an H-trim the web sits right in the middle of the wall where the eye lands, so a mismatched colour shows more here than on any other trim piece.

Can I add trim to a wall that is already up?

Yes, though H-trim is easier to fit as you go. On a finished wall you will usually need to loosen the fasteners on one of the two sections so the panel edges can slide into the channels, then refasten.

Which pack size should I buy?

Count the seams first, then buy the pack that covers the piece count with the fewest leftovers. If you are between packs, go up.
