Proslat 8 ft. PROCORE+ Gray Wood PVC Side Trim

This is the side trim for Proslat PROCORE+ Gray Wood PVC slatwall. Each piece is 8 ft long and closes the open left or right end of a panel run, so you see a finished vertical edge instead of the cut ends of the slats. It is sold here in 2 pack, 3 pack, 4 pack and 5 pack sizes.

Where this trim goes

Side trim runs vertically down the outside ends of the installation. Use it anywhere a run stops in the middle of a wall, or where panels meet a door casing, a window opening or an outside corner.

The four PROCORE+ trims each do a different job:

• Starter trim goes at the bottom. It is the first piece on the wall and sets the level for every panel above it.
• H-trim covers a vertical seam where two panel sections meet side by side in the same run.
• Top trim caps the top edge of the installation.
• Side trim — this piece — finishes the open left and right ends of the wall.

How many do I need?

Every piece is 8 ft. For side trim, the measurement that matters is the height of the panel run at each open end — not the width of the wall, and not the number of panels.

Work one end at a time. Measure the height of the panelled area in linear feet, divide by 8, and round up. A run 8 ft high needs 1 piece per end. A run 9 ft high needs 2 per end, because 9 divided by 8 is 1.125 and you round up. Then add the ends together: a section with both ends exposed is two ends, while a run that dies into a corner on one side only needs trim at the other. Pick the pack that covers the total.

Common questions

Can I cut it to length?

Yes. This is PVC and it cuts cleanly with a fine-tooth blade. A miter saw or a fine-tooth hand saw both work. Cut slowly so the edge does not chip.

Does the finish have to match my panels?

Visually, yes. This is PROCORE+ Gray Wood trim and it is made to match PROCORE+ Gray Wood panels. It will not colour-match plain PROCORE PVC panels, so order the trim that belongs to the line you installed.

Can I add trim to a wall that is already up?

Yes. Side trim caps the end of the panels from the outside, so it goes on a finished wall without pulling anything apart. Check that the panel ends are cut straight first, because the trim follows the edge it is fitted to.

Which pack size should I buy?

Count both open ends, round each up separately, then buy the pack that covers the total with the fewest leftovers. If you are between two packs, go up rather than down.
